1. Introduction
Welcome to the Helle Mardahl Online Shop. These terms and conditions apply for purchases made by consumers in the
Helle Mardahl online shop. We advise you to carefully read through our terms and conditions before shopping in our online shop.

2. Orders
You may place online orders 24 hours a day. We handle orders in the period 9 AM – 3 PM on business days.
When placing an order, we will send you an immediate receipt by email confirming the placement of your order. Please note that this receipt is not an order confirmation and that the order is not binding upon us at that time. A binding agreement between you and Helle Mardahl has not been entered into until we confirm by email that the order is binding upon us. The final order confirmation will also include delivery and tracking information.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel your order at any time for certain reasons including but not limited to: product or service availability, errors in the description or price of the product or service, error in your order or other reasons.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel your order if fraud or an unauthorised or illegal transaction is suspected.

3. Prices and Payment
Helle Mardahl Online Shop accepts the following credit cards:

Your card will be debited when your order has been confirmed and processed. All prices are indicated in EUR, DKK, USD and GBP. Purchases within Denmark includes 25% VAT which are included in the price seen on the website. Purchases within the EU includes your local TAX rate. All customers located outside of the EU will be charged the local taxes and VAT in customs duties.
The card issuer may add service charges to the payment. Any such service charges will be added to the total price.

4. Delivery
Products ordered in the Helle Mardahl Online Shop are delivered worldwide.
We strive to offer the best delivery services and, consequently, all orders are dispatched within 1-5 working days, given that the product is in stock. However, during public holidays, the time of delivery must be expected to be longer.

Regular service to EU countries is approx. 5-6 business days as from the date of dispatch.
Regular service to non-EU countries is approx. 7-8 business days as from the date of dispatch.
We ship lamps to the US, but do not take any responsibility for any rewiring.
If the shipment is not picked up or the recipient refuses to accept the parcel and it is therefore sent back to Helle Mardahl Studio, we allow ourselves the right to deduct the return costs from their refund.

5. Returns
You have the right to regret your purchase within 14 days. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you or another person of your choice (except the carrier) receives the physical possession. If the deadline expires on a public holiday, Saturday, Constitutional day, Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, the deadline is extended to the following working day. However, you do not have the right of withdrawal when purchasing commisioned goods.
How to take advantage of the right of withdrawal:
You return your purchase by letting us know that you regretted your purchase. Please write an email: shop@hellemardahl.com

Return of the item and return costs:
If you’ve regretted the purchase of an item, please ship the retuning goods to:

The costs associated with the return will be covered by you. The item must be shipped without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you have notified us that you wish to cancel your purchase. The deadline is complied if you return the goods before the expiry of the 14 days.
In case you’d like to return an order purchased as a ‘gift with a purchase’ campaign, the gift must also be returned. If the gift is not returned with the rest of the order, you will be deducted the price of the gift from your refund. 

Refund
When you regret your purchase, we will refund all payments received from you.
We will refund the amount within 8-10 working days of the date, we received your returned purchase. We will refund the amount by the payment that you used in the original transaction, unless you have explicitly agreed otherwise. In any case, you will not be charged any fees as a result of the refund.

Testing of the item and packaging:
You are liable for any deterioration of the value of the product due to the handling of the product. You are usually allowed to try the product in the same way that you can and must do in a physical store, but you must not use it. If you have used the item in a way that you cannot do in a physical store and we cannot resell it or cannot resell it to the full price, you must expect that we deduct the impairment in that amount, you must have in refund. If the item no longer has a trade value, we will not refund the purchase amount. You must return the item in the original packaging. You should also make sure that the item is properly wrapped when you return it. You carry the risk of the package / items yourself until we receive it. Therefore, for parcel shipments, keep a receipt stating that you have submitted or delivered the return parcel.

6. Notification of defects and complaints
The packages are insured during carriage, and we ask you to kindly verify the content upon receipt. If the package or its content is damaged upon arrival, please report this to Helle Mardahl within a reasonable period and no later than two months from receiving your receipt.
Irrespective of whether any errors or defects are ascertained upon receipt or at a later date, all products are subjects to the Danish Sale of Goods Act (købeloven), which gives you 24 months to complain about a product. However, if the errors or defects are due to your negligence, abuse or other incorrect use, your right to complain will lapse.

7. Colours and shapes
Even though we have made great efforts to depict colours and qualities as accurately as possible, the colours and the screen resolutions of computers may vary. Minor colour deviations are therefore not considered a defect within the meaning of the Sale of Goods Act.
Regarding the shapes, each item is handmade and unique, so the shape might differ slightly from the one pictured.

8. Security
Helle Mardahl is committed to protecting your privacy. All information provided by you is received securely through SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). SSL is a protocol that encrypts your information into codes so that your information is kept secure while being transmitted via the Internet. Only Nets and your bank have access to your information. At Helle Mardahl, we guarantee that the information entered by you will not be disclosed to any unauthorised third parties.

10. Governing law
These terms and conditions and any contract for the purchase of our product are subject to Danish law, except for the Danish conflict of laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

11. Disclaimer
We disclaim liability for typing errors, changes in direct and indirect taxes, incorrect price and price adjustments, technical errors, out-of-stock product and force majeure, including non-delivery on the part of our suppliers.
